Invitation to the TEAMCARE Final Conference in Naples and Online

The TEAMCARE consortium is pleased to invite colleagues, professionals, educators, researchers, students, and organisations across social work, health, education, interprofessional practice, community-based care, and person-centred services to the TEAMCARE Final Conference, which will take place on 10 September 2026 in Naples, Italy, with the possibility of online participation.

The conference will present the outcomes of the TEAMCARE project and offer participants the opportunity to learn more about the European TEAMCARE training package, connect with project partners and pilot teams, and explore how the training resources can be adopted and adapted across diverse educational, health, and social care contexts in Europe.

Dr Kleio Koutra will present the results of the Greek TEAMCARE pilot and will contribute to the panel discussion on “Lessons from the four TEAMCARE pilots to inform scale-up across EU Member States.” Her contribution will focus on the localisation and implementation of the TEAMCARE package in Greece, including the target learners, organisational setting, professional mix, teaching strategies, work-based learning, assessment, learner engagement, and the barriers and enabling factors that shaped the implementation process. She will also reflect on learners’ experiences, what participants gained from TEAMCARE, how they collaborated across professional groups, and how useful the training was for their everyday professional practice.

About TEAMCARE

TEAMCARE has developed and tested a comprehensive European training package designed to support health and social care professionals working within Community-Based Interprofessional Teams. The conference will guide participants through the full TEAMCARE journey: the challenges facing European health and social care systems, the TEAMCARE training package as a practical and scalable response, lessons learned from the four pilot sites in Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Poland, and future opportunities for adoption, scale-up, sustainability, Twinning Partnerships, and the Memorandum of Understanding.

Participation in the conference will also provide access to the wider TEAMCARE Community, a growing European network of organisations and professionals committed to interprofessional, community-based, and person-centred care. Following the formal conclusion of the project, the Reference Site Collaborative Network will continue to support this community through the TEAMCARE online platform, encouraging peer exchange, sharing of good practices, and guidance for organisations interested in adopting the training package.
