Our department

The Social Work Department espouses the European Exchange Programs since 1989. These programs are very popular among Greek and foreign students. Many of our students have completed part of their studies at Universities in various European countries and students from nearly all European countries have studied in our university. Besides, exchanges of professors for teaching are now part of the educational process in our Department. The rich knowledge and experience that has been accumulated over the years has been incorporated in the educational process for the benefit of our students.

Prerequisites for participation

Students who have completed the third semester of their studies can complete part of their studies (3 to 12 months) in one of the collaborating educational institutes of the European Union. The selection criteria are the academic achievement compared to other candidates and the good knowledge of the language of the host country. For more information on the programs, the offered scholarships, the prerequisites and the process of participation, the interested person should contact Kleio Koutra (kkoutra@hmu.gr), the academic staff who is responsible in our department, and Gloria Vega (vega@hmu.gr), the administrative staff who is responsible in the International Relations Office.
